Stanley Kubrick commissioned hundreds of drawings from legendary graphic artist Saul Bass for art used in the posters and ads for “The Shining.” In this letter, Kubrick gives his thoughts on Bass’s early round of ideas.

Here’s one of the more recent in the long line of famous 007 song performers, Chris Cornell (lead singer for the band Soundgarden), recording “You Know My Name” for Daniel Craig’s first James Bond adventure, “Casino Royale” (2006). He is only the second solo male to record a main title song for a James Bond film, following Tom Jones’s “Thunderball” in 1965.
